Nashville, TN – Carrie L. Stokes, PE, PMP, CHMM, Senior Project Manager and environmental engineer in the Nashville office of BWSC, has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) after successfully completing the PMP program and examination. PMI is an international professional association involved in advancing the practice, science, and profession of project management throughout the world.

Stokes has over 13 years of civil and environmental engineering experience working with various client types, including industrial and municipal entities and state and federal agencies. She has been with BWSC since 1997 and her work has included the development and implementation of site characterization programs, completion of remedial action plans and treatment plant designs, and preparation of environmental plans and permits. Over the past two years, Stokes has been responsible for the management of a BWSC project team to support a multi-year hydrology and hydraulics contract for a large federal client.

Stokes obtained her Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2006 and 1997, respectively. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Stokes is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, and the Project Management Institute. Originally from Louisville, KY, she currently lives in Nashville, TN.
