Vanderbilt Medical Center is considered one of the nation's leading hospitals, and BWSC played an instrumental role in the hospital's recent major expansions. BWSC provided the civil and site engineering design, construction documents, and construction administration for over two million square feet of new medical space. This included the all-new Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, an award-winning facility designed solely for children's medical care and research. All of the facility sites are highly constricted and involved tie-ins to existing buildings, multiple utility tunnels, elevated pedestrian walkways, and covered parking.
