BWSC is part of the design-build team for this project, which will replace the current equipment used to thicken and dewater the solids at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. Previously, sludge was incinerated, land applied, or landfilled. The new facility will provide for thickening and stabilization, anaerobic digestion with reuse of methane gas and heat drying to create Class A biosolid pellets which can be reused as a fertilizer. BWSC is responsible for architecture and landscape design, civil and demolition engineering and permitting.
